A gorgeous pair of diamond earrings from the Victorian (1880s) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, these stunning earrings display a sparkling cluster of old Mine Cut diamonds framed by a border of deep black enameling.?The clustered stones alternate in size to create a striking look and each is prong set in a convex manner. Collectively between both ears, the diamonds have an overall approximate weight of 1.30ctw, and exhibit H-J range color and VS-SI range clarity. An open channel frames the sparkling centers, followed by a richly contrasting ring of black enameling. Completing the design are clasped earring wires found on their open backs, allowing for secure and comfortable wear. Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 1" long including the earring wires. The enameled circle measures 2/3" in diameter. The design measures 1/4" deep.
?Condition:? The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the clasped earring wires. The back of the one earring displays evidence of a previous repair to the wire attachment, but this does not negatively impact their integrity or overall beauty. The black enameling is?in excellent condition and the diamonds are all intact and securely intact.
