An absolutely lovely pair of gold bird earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! These sweet and delicate earrings begin with clasped 14kt gold earring wires that are adorned with a decorative gold ring cluster on the front. Dangling from each topper is a 14kt rose gold link that is diamond-shaped. The links have open backs and beautiful fine wirework detail along the sides, ending in a tiny ball at the bottom of the diamond shape. The front of each earring is engraved with a lovely mixed metals hummingbird design, depicting a yellow gold hummingbird hovering in mid-air with its wings open, and a delicate floral branch held in its beak. They are a beautiful pair of earrings and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang 1 1/8" long, are slightly less than 1/2" at their widest point, and have a depth of slightly more than 1/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold earrings, and the clasped wires are secure and in good working condition.
